Saving for retirement isn’t a journey you have to go alone. Whether you’re a several years out or getting ready to retire soon, we’ll work with you to ensure you’re on the right path to financial freedom.

Position yourself for a financially secure tomorrow

  • Get a helping hand on the climb to retirement
  • Traditional or modern – we have convenient ways to bank
  • Manage investments and day-to-day accounts under one login

Planning for retirement can be overwhelming and feel like scaling a mountain at times. And, just like mountain climbing, there are tools and resources you can use to make the experience easier and more successful. Below are a few financial tools you should consider as you near the peak.

Solutions at your disposal

High-yield savings accounts

Give your savings a boost with guaranteed earnings and higher dividends than a traditional savings account. Money market accounts also provide easy, online and mobile access1 to your liquid funds and give you the option of transferring funds from other financial institution.

Investment planning

Planning and reaffirming your financial future is important, wherever you are in life. Our advisors, available through CFS, will guide you through the available options to determine the best fit for you.2

Online Banking and our mobile app

Stay on top of your money in the comfort of your home or wherever you may travel. Set up alerts and reminders, sign up for eStatements, pay bills, and use Debit Card Controls to determine where, when, and how your debit card is used – all from your computer, tablet, or smartphone.

IRA Certificates

A 401k isn’t the only option for a retirement plan. Save for the future today by opening an IRA Certificate, which provides you with consistent, guaranteed interest coupled with the tax advantages of an IRA.

Credit cards

You deserve a credit card perfect for the everyday and the extraordinary. Earn points and use them for travel, gift cards, merchandise, and even charitable giving!

Equity Rich Line of Credit (ERLOC)

Your home can be so much more than a roof over your head when you take advantage of the equity you’ve built over the years. Our ERLOCs are available for a 10-year period with a 5-year repayment period. Do you have a lot of equity in your current home (e.g. more than you owe on your first mortgage)? If so, an ERLOC may make sense, as you’ll have access to the equity, should the need arise.

Legal Services

No matter your legal needs or conundrums, having an attorney dedicated to providing you with the best advice and counsel is a must. GECU members can enjoy an initial consultation at no cost through Legal Services.3

Knowledge in reach

Just because you’re nearing retirement doesn’t necessarily mean you have everything figured out. If you need a refresher on retirement planning and tips, check out our Money Minutes blog or register for a free webinar or seminar! From the basics of investing to estate planning 101, we have informative events lined up throughout the year.
